Winchester Super-X .22 WMR JHP is a jacketed hollow point Magnum rimfire cartridge delivering the substantially higher velocity and energy of .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire compared to .22 LR. The jacketed hollow point expands reliably at .22 WMR velocities, making it an effective small game cartridge for rabbits, squirrels, and similar quarry at ranges where .22 LR energy is marginal.
The .22 WMR cartridge requires a firearm specifically chambered for it — it is not interchangeable with .22 LR. Winchester's Super-X line has served hunters for generations and the .22 WMR JHP represents the highest practical performance available in the rimfire category.
