Taurus G3XL 9mm Pistol

The Taurus G3XL is a hybrid crossover pistol that installs the full-size G3's longer 4-inch (101mm) slide and barrel onto the compact G3C's shorter grip frame — combining the accuracy and sight radius advantages of the longer barrel with the carry comfort of the compact grip. This "long slide on compact frame" architecture is the same fundamental concept applied by the Glock G43X, CZ P-10 LS, and Sarsilmaz SAR 9 SP in this collection, applied here within the Taurus G-series at a competitive price.

The 12mm longer barrel compared to the G3C delivers meaningful improvements: increased muzzle velocity, a longer sight radius for improved accuracy at distance, and better ballistic performance from the same 9mm ammunition. The compact grip frame — identical to the G3C — keeps the overall height and concealability advantage of the compact platform. The G3XL accepts 12-round compact magazines (flush with the grip), plus the G3's 15-round and 17-round full-size magazines for extended capacity.

A notable design decision distinguishes the G3XL from the G2C and G3C: Taurus deliberately removed the manual thumb safety from the G3XL specification, opting for a streamlined design that relies on the built-in passive safety mechanisms of the striker-fired action. Buyers who specifically require a manual safety should choose the G3C instead. The G3XL offers the accuracy advantage of a 4-inch barrel in a compact-frame package at a reasonable premium over the G3C.
