Designed for shooters who require a quieter operating experience in residential, suburban, or semi-enclosed environments, the Whisper X combines effective noise management with the consistent performance of a gas-piston powerplant.
The IGT (Inert Gas Technology) gas-piston system replaces the conventional steel coil spring with a sealed nitrogen cylinder, delivering a smoother cocking stroke, less vibration on firing, and more predictable power output across varying temperature conditions — practical advantages over a steel spring for shooters who use their rifle in different seasonal environments.
