CZ Shadow 2 Target 9mm Pistol

The CZ Shadow 2 Target is the extended-barrel precision variant of the world-champion Shadow 2 platform — purpose-built for IPSC Standard and Open division competitors, as well as bullseye and precision pistol disciplines where maximum sight radius and barrel dwell time provide a measurable accuracy advantage. Two barrel configurations are available: the 5-inch (127mm) barrel for competitors who want meaningful extension over the standard Shadow 2's 4.9-inch barrel within a practical overall length, and the 6-inch (152mm) barrel for shooters who want the absolute maximum sight radius available on a production Shadow 2.

The longer barrel achieves two precision advantages: the extended sight radius increases the angular precision of iron sights, making aiming errors smaller in absolute terms at distance; and the additional barrel length allows more complete powder combustion, producing higher muzzle velocity and a softer, more progressive recoil impulse as the bullet dwells longer in the bore before exiting. Both effects combine to produce tighter groups and faster recoveries between shots.

The heavier aluminium alloy frame, competition DA/SA trigger geometry, under-barrel weight rails, extended beavertail, and fibre-optic adjustable sights of the standard Shadow 2 are fully retained. The extended barrel also adds forward mass that shifts the balance point ahead of the grip — a characteristic that competition shooters deliberately seek for reduced muzzle flip during rapid-fire strings. The Shadow 2 Target is the most expensive DA/SA pistol in this collection and is aimed exclusively at serious competitors.
