Caracal C1 9mm Pistol

The Caracal C1 is a compact striker-fired 9mm pistol developed by Caracal International LLC in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates — the first pistol designed and manufactured in the UAE, and the standard service sidearm of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces and Special Guard. Designed by Wilhelm Bubits, the Austrian engineer who previously worked on the Glock and Steyr M, the Caracal inherits the low bore axis philosophy that defines that design school.The C1 compact features a barrel axis positioned just 18mm above the top of the grip — one of the lowest bore axes of any production pistol. This geometry minimises muzzle rise during firing, enabling faster follow-up shots and more accurate rapid fire sequences. The short double-action striker system provides a consistent pull weight with no pre-cocked position indicator required. Integrated trigger, firing pin, and drop safeties operate automatically with no manual safety to engage or disengage.The fully ambidextrous design — including magazine release and slide stop on both sides — serves both left and right-handed operators equally. The integral Picatinny rail accommodates tactical accessories. Developed to NATO D14 standard and tested by the German Federal Armed Forces Technical Centre (WTD 91), the Caracal meets stringent military specifications. Manufactured in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
