The Beretta A300 Ultima is the evolutionary successor to the A300 Outlander — a thoroughly updated A300-platform shotgun that addresses the most common owner feedback from the Outlander with targeted feature improvements. The Ultima retains the proven gas-operated self-cleaning piston system and Mobilchoke compatibility of the Outlander while adding meaningful upgrades that justify its position as the premium A300 variant.

The most significant addition is the Kick-Off® hydraulic recoil mitigation system integrated into the stock. Kick-Off uses a hydraulic dampener to reduce the felt recoil impulse transmitted to the shooter's shoulder, measurably lowering perceived recoil compared to the standard Outlander. This makes the Ultima notably more comfortable to shoot across extended sessions — particularly relevant for clay target shooters who fire hundreds of shells in a single day, and for hunters who are recoil-sensitive.

Additional improvements include enlarged bolt handle and bolt release buttons for easier manipulation when wearing gloves or in adverse conditions; a soft-touch comb on the synthetic stock for facial comfort during sustained use; a fibre-optic front sight paired with a stepped 7×7 ventilated rib for improved target acquisition on driven game or clay presentations; and a mid-bead for consistent head placement on the stock.
