The gas-operated system uses a self-cleaning piston with a compensating exhaust valve that cycles reliably across the full range of 2¾-inch and 3-inch factory loads — from light 24-gram sporting target loads to 53-gram heavy game loads — without manual adjustment between ammunition types. This load versatility is a hallmark of Beretta's gas system design and makes the A300 Outlander genuinely all-purpose across hunting and clay shooting applications.
