Built on the proven Texan chassis with AirForce's upgraded TX2 valve, the TexanSS .457 achieves over 400 foot-pounds of muzzle energy while remaining significantly quieter than unsuppressed big-bore rifles — a combination prized by hunters operating near structures, farm environments, or anywhere noise is a concern.  The fully shrouded 24.75-inch (629mm) Lothar Walther barrel with 1:30 twist optimizes slug stability and accuracy. Sound-Loc® technology reduces report without sacrificing the decisive knockdown power required for large game applications. The 490cc air tank at 3,000 PSI / 200 Bar, combined with the TX2 valve's efficiency, delivers consistent energy output. Automatic safety engages on each cocking cycle for safe field operation. Sidelever loading provides easy single-shot cycling. Two-stage adjustable trigger, 11mm dovetail optics rail, and adjustable buttplate complete the specification.
