Where the SSP uses the Linear System for Standard Pistol, the GSP Expert is built around Walther's long-established GSP action with either a mechanical or electronic trigger system, offering the shooter a choice between the tactile feedback of a precision mechanical trigger and the ultra-consistent, infinitely adjustable release weight of an electronic trigger — a technology used by Olympic gold medallists across multiple Games.

The GSP Expert's anatomical grip is a fully customisable wooden grip adjusted to the individual shooter's hand anatomy — not merely sized, but shaped. The grip can be built up or reduced in specific areas by a qualified armourer or the shooter themselves using the included tools and materials, achieving a level of hand-to-grip fit that no standard production grip can replicate. This personalised fit eliminates the micro-adjustments that shooters make to compensate for grip inconsistency and is a cornerstone of ISSF target shooting accuracy.

The 114mm cold-hammer-forged barrel is manufactured to the highest precision standards Walther applies to competition barrels, and the aluminium alloy frame provides the competition-legal weight distribution that supports stable hold during 60-round precision strings. The Walther GSP Expert is one of the most expensive pistols in this collection and is exclusively appropriate for ISSF competitors training and competing at national or international level.
