Description
The Taurus Model 73 is a small-frame double/single-action revolver chambered in .32 Long (.32 S&W Long), manufactured by Forjas Taurus S.A. in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Produced across several decades of the 20th century, the Model 73 represented Taurus's approach to the classic small-frame utility revolver — a light, manageable six-shot revolver in a mild calibre suitable for target practice and small-frame carry.Chambered in .32 Long, the Model 73 is mild in recoil and well-suited to extended practice sessions. The standard 3-inch barrel balances compactness with practical sight radius for target use. The blued finish provides the classic aesthetic typical of the era, and steel construction throughout offers solidity and longevity. Six-round cylinder capacity is standard for this frame class. The Model 73 has been discontinued by Taurus, making surviving examples of interest to collectors of Brazilian-made revolvers and enthusiasts of the mid-20th century small-frame revolver tradition.
