The A400 introduces Beretta's Blink® gas-operated action, engineered to cycle twice as fast as conventional gas systems — a speed advantage that produces faster follow-up shots, more consistent shell ejection, and smoother operation across the full range of loads from light 24-gram target to heavy 53-gram game shells.

The Steelium® barrel with Optima-Bore® HP bore geometry is a fundamental departure from standard barrel construction. The optimised bore profile reduces shot deformation during acceleration, producing more consistent, uniform pellet patterns compared to conventional bores — a measurable accuracy advantage particularly evident at longer ranges.
