Developed in direct collaboration with the CZ Shooting Team's elite IPSC competitors over more than two years of intensive range testing, the CZ Shadow 2 represents the most refined expression of the legendary CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow platform. The Urban Grey variant wears a distinctive Urban Grey Polycoat on the steel frame and a durable nitride finish on the slide, combining purposeful aesthetics with corrosion resistance built for sustained competition use.The architecture departs meaningfully from conventional pistol design: CZ's inverted slide rail system — where the slide rides inside the frame — positions the bore axis lower and centres the reciprocating mass over the barrel. Combined with the front-heavy frame geometry and increased weight at the dust cover and rail, the result is measurably reduced muzzle flip and faster target reacquisition between shots. The extended beavertail and undercut trigger guard allow the shooting hand to ride as high as mechanically possible — closer to the bore axis than any standard pistol design permits.The competition SA/DA trigger has been refined from the SP-01 Shadow for a smoother double-action pull, lighter single-action break, and a significantly shortened reset — the three metrics that define trigger performance in speed shooting. The swappable, extended magazine release has three position settings for individual reach preference. Front and rear grip checkering, matched to the flat duralumin aluminium grip panels, maintains consistent purchase under rapid strings and adverse conditions.The 125mm cold-hammer-forged barrel is fitted with a fully adjustable HAJO rear sight and fibre-optic front for precision target acquisition. 17+1 capacity in the standard configuration.Available in two configurations: Standard, optimised for IPSC Production division competition with factory iron sights; and OR (Optics-Ready), pre-cut for CZ's proprietary optic plate system for seamless red dot mounting, targeting USPSA Carry Optics division. Both configurations share the same precision steel construction, refined trigger, and competition-derived ergonomics. Manufactured at the Česká zbrojovka facility in Uherský Brod, Czech Republic.
